Mould Remediation

Mould remediation is the process of removing Mould and preventing its return. Effective Mould remediation addresses the underlying moisture problem and ensures a thorough clean-up to minimise health risks in indoor environments.

Assessment and Inspection

  1. Identify the Source: The first step involves identifying the source of moisture that is allowing Mould to grow. Common sources include leaks, high humidity, and condensation.

  2. Mould Inspection: A detailed inspection to assess the extent of Mould growth is crucial. This may involve visual inspection

Removal

  1. Surface Cleaning: Non-porous surfaces can often be cleaned with specialised Mould removal products. For porous materials such as drywall or carpets, removal might be necessary if the Mould growth is extensive.

  2. Removal of Contaminated Materials: Items like insulation, drywall, and carpets that are Mould-infested should be carefully removed and disposed of, ideally in sealed bags.

Drying and Dehumidification

Once Mould is removed, the affected area must be thoroughly dried to prevent future growth. Dehumidifiers and fans can assist in drying out the space, keeping relative humidity levels below 60%.

Our Mould remediation is a comprehensive process that requires careful assessment, removal, and prevention. Addressing both the Mould and its underlying causes is essential for maintaining a safe and healthy indoor environment.
